Elsie's Pets
Elsie's Pets is run by Libby, your local dog walker, cat feeder and house sitter with over 8 years of experience. Although Libby will predominantly be the person who helps with your pets, occasionally she will call on trusted family members and friends to help when she is fully booked (of course, with prior discussion with the pet parents).
The name Elsie's is in reference to Libby's initials (L and C), which she shares with her mum, another dog crazy lady who you may meet on some of our walks.
Meet Libby (Founder of Elsie's Pets)
Hi, I’m Libby. I'm the person who will be walking your dog, filling their food and water bowls, keeping your pets safe and cared for while you’re away, and of course, providing them with unlimited cuddles!
After completing my degree in biology at Bristol Uni, I knew I was well-suited and fulfilled working with animals. Then I adopted my Romanian rescue dog, Erin, and learnt about dog behaviour to support her complex needs, reactivity and anxiety. A few people in the area witnessed my manner with Erin in the local park and asked if I would help look after their rescue dogs and anxious pets. And 8 years later, pet care, dog walking and housesitting is now my full-time job.
Over the years, I’ve cared for super energetic spaniels who need a lot of mental stimulation and safe off-lead walks, anxious rescue dogs who need a calm, easy-going sniffy walk, reactive German Shepherds who need to feel confident in their dog walker, and highly intelligent collies who seem to be able to outsmart any humans in the room!
I love working outdoors, staying active, and exploring new places to walk the dogs. When I’m not working, you’ll likely find me shopping for thrifty finds at the car boot, swimming, cooking some delicious vegan food, or spending time with my own rescue dogs.
